Millstream Hunting Preserve is Connecticut's premier upland bird hunting and dog training facility. Located in the beautiful and gently rolling hills of eastern Connecticut's dairy farm country, you will find our 300 plus acre facility to be a picturesque and enjoyable getaway in which to enjoy our shared passion. Millstream offers both packaged and custom configured hunts for the discriminating sportsman.
Our upland bird hunts are configured to your specifications, and can include ringneck pheasant, bobwhite quail, Hungarian partridge and Chukar partridge.
This variety of strong and fast flying gamebirds make for an exciting shoot.
Our highly experienced and friendly guides (both male and female) will put you into the action quickly. You are welcome to bring your dog(s), or enjoy your hunt over one of our well disciplined dogs at no additional charge.
Some options include:
Two hour/6 bird/1 gun "executive hunt": Just the thing for the busy executive. Your option to add an additional gunner (or two) and 6 (or 12) additional birds.
12 bird/2 gun hunt (additional guns, max. 4 and birds may be added at an additional cost): Our most popular hunt. You can still get a half day in at the office. Your option to add an additional gunner and 6 additional birds.
30 bird/2 to 5 gun "full day hunt": This is an outstanding day afield on our beautiful preserve.
Tower Shoot: Millstream has a 10 station tower facility that is just perfect for your large group to enjoy fast and furious shooting at high flying birds. Bring your club out, or your business associates, for a wingshooting experience they won't soon forget.
European Shoot: 8 to 12 butts: Millstream Preserve offers an exciting European experience with our exclusive simulated driven shoot which closely replicates a traditional English driven pheasant shoot.
Our released duck and goose hunts: Our released flighted ducks are over a 15 acre pond in blinds. Flighted ducks are available from September 15th through March 31st. No license required. Goose Hunting must follow State and Federal regulations and season, with license, stamps and hip permit. Hunt from our comfortable pits or hedgerow blinds.
Completely custom configured hunt: Tell us what your vision for the perfect upland hunting day is, and we will make every attempt to accommodate you.
