TROPHY WHITETAIL DEER, TURKEY, BEARS, WILD HOG AND BOBCAT HUNTING IN NORTH CAROLINA
ARCHERY - GUN HUNTS - MUZZLELOADER
Trophy Deer Hunting
Buffalo Creek Bertie Lodge is approximately 7000 acres of beautiful hunting country. It is flat land with slight ridges of hardwood and pine thickets surrounded by vast tracts of cypress swamps. Also, it contains many fields of peanuts, which whitetail deer, black bear and other game find to be their select choice of food. The high protein found in peanuts help to grow some of the biggest racks available in the state of NC. The whitetail deer leave the protection of the bottom lands to graze on peanuts and grain provided by us.
Hunting Stands: we have 250 stands located at the Bertie County Camp. These stands are made up of shooting houses or ground blinds of those hunters who do not wish to climb, as well as ladder stands, tripod stands and many totally enclosed box stands with chairs or swivel seats. All of our ladder stands and tripod stands are provided with rails and curtains for your shooting comfort and safety. We do not use portable tree stands.

Feeders: We also have approximately 75 feeders located on the property, many that operate year-round. As one can imagine, our feed stations, which include feeders, corn piles, and other feed supplements, are the center of activity across the farm. Not only do many bucks and hogs frequent these feeders, but so do bobcats in search of small game. Almost all of our deer and hog stands are baited with corn or located over a feeder, which is legal in North Carolina.
The Buffalo Creek Bertie Lodge is open to muzzleloader, pistol, rifle and shotgun hunters.
We do all archery hunts out of the Sampson Lodge.
